How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or seeking personal growth, therapy may help. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support—therapy is for anyone who wants to improve emotional health, relationships, and overall wellbeing.

What services do you offer?

We provide a range of therapeutic services designed to support individuals, couples, and families, including:

• Individual Therapy

• Family Therapy (with or without children)
• Telehealth / Online Therapy
• Psychosocial education and emotional wellness support

Do you offer telehealth or virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions so you can receive support from the comfort of your home. Telehealth is a great option for busy schedules, limited mobility, or clients who simply prefer privacy and convenience.

How do I schedule an appointment?

What can I expect during my first session?

The first session is a getting-to-know-you appointment. You’ll be met with empathy, curiosity, and encouragement, - not judgment. We’ll work at your pace, focusing on understanding your story, uncovering your strengths, and developing practical strategies to manage emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges.

My goal is to help you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and more equipped to navigate your world with confidence and peace.

Complete a Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment which includes but is not limited to the following:

• Discuss your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy
• Review background and relevant history
• Identify strengths and needs

• Begin developing a personalized treatment plan

There is no pressure, and you can share at your own pace.

How long are therapy sessions?

Most sessions last 45–60 minutes. Sessions may run slightly longer depending on needs.

How often will I need to attend therapy?

Your therapy schedule is tailored to you.

Clients typically attend:

• Weekly
• Bi-weekly
• Or monthly maintenance sessions

We will discuss frequency as part of your treatment plan.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept a range of insurance plans. Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance Please contact us to verify your coverage.

Self-pay options are available for clients without insurance or who prefer privacy.

Can Therapy Help My Child or Teen?

Absolutely. At CECTS, we specialize in supporting children and adolescents through the emotional, social, and developmental challenges that can impact their daily lives. Therapy provides a safe, supportive space where young people can express themselves, learn new skills, and build confidence.

We help children and teens navigate:

• Emotional challenges such as sadness, worry, frustration, or mood swings

• Behavioral concerns, including defiance, impulsivity, and difficulty following rules

Do parents participate?

Parent sessions may be incorporated as needed to strengthen communication, create consistency at home, and support your child’s progress.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed is confidential and protected by state and federal law, with the exception of situations involving safety risks (danger to self, others, or child/vulnerable adult abuse).

What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous is completely normal — you’re not alone. Many people feel unsure when taking the first step, especially if they’ve never been to therapy before or have had a past experience that didn’t feel supportive.

At CECTS, therapy is a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space. You’re welcome exactly as you are.

You don’t need to have the “right words,” a perfect story, or everything figured out. All you need is the willingness to show up — and we will take the rest one step at a time, together.

Do you provide Christian or faith-based counseling?

(If this applies to you.) Yes, upon request. Faith can be an important part of healing, and we can incorporate spiritual principles based on your preference.
